Call for Proposals (Present at La Conferencia!)

The purpose of La Conferencia is to connect the Latinx community in South King County around educational, personal, and social issues.

Duration: Each session will be 1hr and 15 mins (including Q&A)
Audience: We are looking for presentations that reach one of three different audiences: teens and young adults, adult learners, and parents or chaperones.

Type of Session:
Panel: a group of 3-5 presenters exploring a topic from their experience
Workshop: a topic presented through an interactive and engaging activity
Presentation: one to three presenters explain a topic and build in time for a Q&A

Themes:
We ask you to submit a proposal (or several) keeping one audience in mind for each proposal. Presentations will fall into the following categories: individual, educativo, and comunidad.

These are some examples of topics that you could explore; however, we are also open to new ideas within each theme.

Individual: sessions on identity development, personal healing or self-care, and arts.
Educativo: topics ranging from career exploration, funding opportunities, effective strategies to find a job
Comunidad: workshops on topics of interest for the community, e.g., current issues, know your rights, community healing, arts.
Presenters will be paid for their time*
